NALGA is an Association of some 1000 left-handed golfers and their right-handed or non-playing partners. Our Association enjoys the company of men and lady golfers with handicaps from 1 to 45. Competitions always include a section for right-handed players, male or female, who are partners or friends of the left-handed member. The Aim Of NALGA is to: Engage in, foster, promote and encourage the game of golf and other sporting, social and recreational activities in general and amongst left- handed golfers in particular. To establish, organize and promote Australian Golf Open Championships and international events for members of the Association and generally to do such other things that will promote the interests of the affiliated divisions and of the association generally. To Promote the organization of associations of left-handed golfers by the establishment of new divisions. NALGA is currently made up of a National executive and ten Divisions being Far North Queensland, Queensland, NSW, ACT, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, Riverina, West Australia and Northern Rivers. Each division conducts a series of events annually including 4BBB events, singles events and a divisional championship. In addition, each division hosts a 72 hole stroke national championship on a rotational basis. In all our events the competition is fierce and properly run in accordance with the Rules of Golf and the after game activities are very social and aimed at promoting fellowship and friendship among our participants.
